Where did December go? Like everyone else I am sure, our lives have been very busy around the Holidays.
Dec 13th, Andy took his last final of his first semester of law school. Yeah!! We are so proud of him and all the work that he put into this past 16
weeks. I know that it has to be hard to go back toschool and balancing family life (nagging wife, screaming baby, wild man toddler, needy dogs and crazy cat). Things will be a little smoother next semester I hope. So we are on school break and I thought things would be soooo much easier and maybe we would get the basement unpacked. Boy was I wrong, honestly what was I thinking. We had to finish Christmas shopping, put up the Christmas tree and decorations, Christmas cards, wrap presents when little man was sleeping, and the list goes on and on and on.
On December 14th we went to the Crown Center, just for some fun family time. We had already saw Santa once, but there was a really cool Crayola play area that Drew absolutely loved. We also went out to the area around the big tree and there was was a train and truck etc. that you could play on. It was freezing, so we didn't stay outside that long. Inside Jillian and Daddy waited in line for Santa while D man and I played in Crayolaville. Once the blueys (Andy and Jilli have blue eyes) reached the front of the line the brownies (I really hope you can figure out this one) joined them. Drew was upset, you
can tell in the pic, because he would rather play than see Santa. He was crying and Jillian was sleeping. Another great Roberts 2007 Santa picture. Geniuses mom and dad forgot the camera, so we bought a disposable and it was a piece as you can tell by the lovely pictures it took. What did we do before digital, develop a lot of worthless picture I guess. I do think that I look more attractive fuzzy though. If only the whole world was near sited. Well it was fun Roberts family time, much over due.

Have I mention that it feels like it has been freezing and snowy the whole month of December. Here is little miss all bundled up for an outing. Thanks Anna for her little coat/suit, she wears it every time we go out!!

Playing in the snow!!

The Disgruntled Pirate. An eye patch was a free gift at the Disney Store to promote Pirates of the Caribbean III and Drew loved it. More on Mommy and Daddy than himself though. He puts it on and says "AARRR". Too cute!!
Drew and Jillian had their well baby check ups on the 17th. Both got shots :( Jillian immunizations and Drew the second half of his flu shot. Their stats are as follows:
Jillian - 4 months (actually a little over but I wanted to wait till Andy was able to help me)
- height 24 3/4 inches (65th percentile)
- weight 14 lbs 15 1/2 oz (65th percentile)
- head circumference 16 3/4 inches (85th percentile)
Drew - 2 years old
- height 33 1/2 inches ( 23rd percentile)
- weight 32.4 lbs (80th percentile)
- head circumference 19 3/4 inches (85th percentile)
So the percentiles are not exact except for Drew's height. I remember that one for sure. I can't believe that he is short for his age. Everyone says he is so big. I think that maybe we didn't get an accurate measurement. It was hard to get him to stand still and stand straight. I guess only time will tell. He definitely has the short gene from both sides. Both of my grandpas were short and Andy's grandma Sammi wasn't even 5 feet tall.
Less than 24 hours after visiting the doctor Drew starting vomiting. Andy called me at work Tuesday morning at 6:10 in a mini panic. Apparently Drew had vomited during the night and slept in it all night. eeeewwwwwe (as Drew would say). Needless to say he needed a bath and bed clothes had to be washed and the mattress ended up being a complete loss (even after shampooing it, febreezing it and putting it outside to air out). So I left work early to help out an overwhelmed daddy. I would have been the same way. So long story short, I missed 3 days of work and Drew vomited for 2 days (including one direct hit to mommy, again eeewwwwe). He
was a puny man. He never falls asleep on me or lays his head on me, that is how I knew that he didn't feel good. The saddest part was the second night he woke up about 5 times in 2 hours crying, curled up, holding his tummy. I would lay there and rub his back and he would fall back asleep and then the cramping would wake him up again. It broke my heart. There was nothing I could do to make him better.
Friday the 21st we headed to Nana and Papa's house for Christmas. Everyone was good until dinner and Andy started to feel bad and then about 9:00 pm I stated throwing up. It was a miserable night for the Roberts parents. I was one of the worst nights for me, I was getting sick and had to nurse Jillian. She did not want to sleep in the pack in play that night. We survived. The rest of the Henke clan came up Saturday and we celebrated Payton's 14th birthday and then had our Christmas together. Neither Andy or I attempted to eat dinner. It was torture. It smelled so good. Jillian never threw up, just a bit of diarrhea and by weeks end we were all feeling
better. Drew had a good time at Nana and Papa's house as always. He loves cousin Kyle. Kyle plays with Drew so well, it is cute. Just today he said Kyle's name. I don't know what reminded him of Kyle, but obviously something. I think Jillian loved all the attention from Anne, Tammy, Payton and McKenzie. Christmas at the Henke's was nice!

Christmas Eve evening I spent from 4:30 to 8:00
at the hospital. Rushed home to put cookies out for Santa with Drew, put him to bed and then back to work my normal shift. I left an hour early to make sure I was there when Drew woke up. He was excited. He saw all the present and said Ho Ho Ho! Drew started opening presents and was more interested in playing with them. He had a lot to open because Jillian needed his help with hers. This present opening process took 5 days!!! We opened the last few presents on the Dec. 30th.

Christmas morning around 10:00, Drew was playing with his new toys and exhausted Mommy was closing her eyes until the screaming began. Drew went to sit in his new chair at his new table, but he missed the seat completely and busted his face on the edge of the table. I picked him up and there was blood coming out of his mouth. Once he was calmed down we looked at the booboo and his teeth had gone all the way through his lower lip!! You know how much it
hurts when you bite your lip, you can only image what this felt like. He took it like a trooper. We went to the doctor the next day and they said there was nothing to do for it, which I already knew. Anyway Drew likes the doctor. "Hello doctor" he says when he walks in. He laid across his lap and let him look in his mouth and then he says "bye bye doctor". This kid amazes me, I am getting ready to set up a dentist appointment for him, if he just lays there with his mouth open and lets them clean his teeth I will know this kid is really an angel. It has been a week and a half and he is healing well.
Formula One. Jillian's first bottle of formula and she didn't love it. She is getting more used to it everyday. We are alternating breast milk or nursing and formula. It has been a little rough on me. I think I have only broken down twice so far.

Christmas at Grandma and George's house. Grandpa Corky came down and celebrated with us. Drew and Jillian made out like bandits. Drew especially loved the gummy life savors. Yum Yum! I was exhausted. We left friday morning after I got home from work. Sleeping in the car stinks. We stayed the night in WP and visited miss Tara on the way out the next day. Tara looks absolutely adorable. I can't beleive that I
didn't take a picture of her and her baby bump (courtesy of Ella Claire). I hope I am spelling it correctly.Jillian is an amazing little roller. She is all over the place, I don't know why I even put a blanket down because she is never on it. She is making adorable noises with her spit (you know thpppppp). She loves her big brother. He lays on the floor and talks to her or peek a boos with her and she laughs at him. Drew man is doing great. He said his first sentence "daddy poopoo change diaper" I was soo happy that it wasn't "mommy poopoo change diaper" Just Kidding. Drew had 3 New year's resolutions. Brush teeth twice a day (instead of once), no more high chair, he is exculsively a booster seat boy and #3 sit on the potty (with his pants down). He has no problem sitting on the potty with his pant on, but when we had his pants down he started crying, he thought he was in trouble because I wouldn't let him get up. He was happy with the 2 m&ms he got for being such a big boy though.
