Thursday we made a road trip back to Pittsburg, Carl Junction and Joplin. We hadn't been back since we had moved. We went to Mt. Carmel first and saw everyone there. Just like when I left. I really miss that place. Sounds strange to miss a place of work, but I loved everyone there. Then off to Cafe Del Rio to meet the Wilson's. Madeline was adorable as ever and her parents are shrinking. Drew had a wonderful time playing with Madeline. She has a very cool kitchen set and keyboard. Yes, my little man loves to play with kitchen sets. He loves to cook with me too. I just know he is going to be my little chef. Then off to Miss Shannon's for a visit. Drew cried when we left, if that tells you how good of time he was having. Then on a random siting we saw our best little buddy Trent. Yeah!
Friday we went to the Kansas City Zoo. I was so excited to see little man's reactions. I had high expectations for the Lion's, because Drew loves to pretend he is a lion. His favorite - Baboon! What the heck. Baboon. Baboon all day long. On the way home we talked about the baboons and Drew said "No not baboon, good boon." That kid already had his dad's dry sense of humor and I love it. It was supposed to be 65 and sunny but it was high 50's and windy. About half way through we decided to call it quits. Little miss was all bundled up, but her face and hands were freezing. Andy and I were cold too, I don't think Drew minded it though. I decided we would come back another day and visit Australia. Drew would have loved it, he loves pretending to be a Joey. Next time I guess. Can you see me hiding behind the stroller, obviously not a very good job.
I took lots of pictures of the animals, but I didn't figure anyone would care about a hippo's ass.
