Wednesday night on my way to work on Hwy 32 not far from my house I hit a deer :( I just topped a hill and she was running across the road and you know the rest. I was really shook up at first. Some lady stopped to help me, she saw the whole incident. Poor Ms. Deer was killed instantly. Of course I had to see if she was still breathing and thankfully she wasn't. I think it could have been way more traumatizing if it was half alive and suffering right in front of me. I called Andy and 911, although I am not sure which first. Andy had to get the kids out of bed and come get me. Then while we were completing the police report about 200 hundred feet from us, someone else hit and killed a deer. It was a full moon and warm out, I guess it makes the deer frisky. Finally I made it to work at 11:30, I am supposed to be there at 10:00. I guess car wreck is a pretty good excuse for being late. So the estimate was $6800 and we get it back April 8th. Thanks to mom and dad for loaning us a truck. I am sure that we could have made it on one vehicle, but it is so much easier with two.
