Merry -go-round, Rainforest Cafe, Easter Bunny and More Head Trauma

We went to Oak Park Mall to see the Easter Bunny on Tuesday. The website said that he took a break from 1:00 - 2:00pm. So we arrived at 12:45 and the Easter Bunny was already gone, so we had an hour to burn. We decided to ride the Merry-go-round and Drew decided he wanted to ride on the upper level this time. He was riding a Panda and started getting dizzy. "Dizzy, get down" he said. Mommy was getting dizzy also. We sat on a bench for the rest of the ride and I had to hold on to him, because he wanted down, as in down and off of the ride. I think next time we will stick to the lower level.
We decided to go to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch. It was a 30 minute wait. It is a tuesday, don't people have jobs? So we entertained ourselves in the Rainforest Cafe shop. Drew loved the fish. There was a couple that looked like Dory from Nemo and also Gill. The fish tank by our table had a little clown fish just like Nemo in it and Drew was excitied.

There was the Tracy Tree that talked and her eyes moved. It was a little creepy. Drew was trying to give her his monkey straw.
Jillian was such a good girl. Content to just ride around in the stroller.

This kid loves hats. Lets hope that some nasty, lice infected kid didn't try this hat before our little man.
Once we finally got to our table, Andy spilled his soda everywhere (and tried to blame it on the 2 year old - dispickable). We ordered and it took forever to get our food. I fed Jillian solids and poofs and her juice. She played (and by played I mean dropped repeatedly, which meant I repeatedly wiped off) with toys, but was tiring of the situation pretty quickly. Drew loved the elephants and would do a very impressive elephant impression. He loved looking at all the animals around. There would be a fake storm and the lights would flash, he said "oh no, storm, scared." I tried to tell him everything was pretend. So once Andy finished eating he took antsy pants out strolling and Drew and I finished lunch. Drew said "done, get down" and before I knew it he face planted on the cafe floor. At home he can manage himself out of his booster, but this one was different and I guess he tried to get out and just busted his face again. Head trauma #2 in less than 24 hours. Everyone was staring and yes some pointing, but yet no one offered to help. I picked him up and he was balling. Poor little guy.
Finally the Easter Bunny. The actual purpose of the trip. While we were walking to the EB visiting area, we were talking it up, so when we got there and he didn't get to go straight to the EB' s lap there was complete meltdown. Drew and Andy then went to get cookies while the bean and I waited in line. Right before it was our turn Andy picked up Drew and he was stinky, no time for a change now. Drew ran up to the EB and tried climbing on his lap, the photographer said the EB couldn't see very well (because I don't think his big head moved) and I said I hope he can't smell very well either. She just looked at me, she obviously wasn't close enough to appreciate the aroma. They took the picture. Drew gave the Easter Bunny a kiss and said bye. Andy went to change him and it was a false alarm. It would have been so much funnier if he was on the EB's lap with a full load, but it was just a toot. Finally we are going home and both Drew and Jillian fell asleep on the way home.
Oh, but there is more. We got the mail, Andy took Jillian up and Drew and I were following. He wanted to hold the keys, which he does often. I told him don't press the buttons and what does he do, hit the alarm. So my arms are full of mail and 3 package and Drew is scared from the alarm. I throw everything in the front seat and try to figure out how to shut it off. The only way I could get it to stop was start the truck. So Drew is next to me because he is scared and I am reaching to start to truck from the passenger side and head trauma #3 occurs. I squished his head between the side of the truck and my leg. This brought on more crying. Poor guy. Michele from work said maybe I should get him a helmet. Ha Ha. We went upstairs and I told Drew I was going to give him medicine to make his head feel better and he told me "put it in my mouth" good thing he told me, I was going for eyeball. It was definately time for me to sleep. Andy said the rest of the night went smoothly, thank god. I honestly couldn't make this stuff up. This is our life :)
