Potty Training - Yes We Can!

So like I have mentioned before, I feel like we have been potty training FOREVER! We are finally on the road of progress. We were taking hourly trips to the potty and he would pee every time, but most times his pull up was wet too. So we would put on a dry one - can anyone say $cha-ching$ for Wal-mart. So I figured out he did so much better with nothing on. This came with never ending penis talk and penis touching. Sometimes I just have to tell him to give it a rest. Typical male I guess.

So after multiple days of nakedness (hence the lack of pics), we moved on to big boy underware. He had a few accidents but much better than with pull-ups. We save the pull ups for outings and naps. Then all of a sudden in the past few days he has made huge steps. He as been holding it (his bladder not his penis) for 3-4 hours at a time. Still some difficulty with pooping on the potty - some days he will and others he won't. But I will take what I can get. I have been pretty amazed by him the past couple of days.

So when we go to the YMCA lately Drew has been going into the big kids room and he loves it. They are supposed to be potty trained before going in there. So I use a little peer pressure, guilt, call it what you like - I tell him that all the kids in the big kid room wear underware and use the potty and since I have put my new tactic in place he has been doing better and better. I am sure this methodology is not going to make it in any psychologist manual on potty training - but whatever works is the point we are at right now! Yeah Drew!!!!
