Visiting Baby Claire

Thursday we finally made it over to see baby Claire. Drew was so excited to meet her. He said that he was going to sing her Happy Birthday quietly, but of course he didn't.

I told Drew that as soon as we get there he had to take off his shoes and wash his hand before he touched baby Claire. When we walked in she was crying and he immediately went to see what was wrong and I had to remind him of his shoes and hands. In the video above Drew asked if she was okay. When Bryce picked her up she burped and I told Drew that is why she was crying, because she had a burp in her tummy. He remembered that explanation and told Nana and Papa that on the phone.

Drew just gave her a kiss, ahhhh! Cooper coming over to say hello. He is doing very well as a new big brother. Drew picked out presents to bring over for everyone and we didn't forget Coop either. I think he enjoyed his busy bone. I love this picture of her, she looks deep in thought. If only we could crop me out. Jillian came over and checked her out at first and then didn't pay much attention to her. She didn't seem to mind that I was holding her. I held her almost the entire time we were there, I needed my baby fix. I think that she is a good mix of Tammy and Bryce, but in this picture she looks like Bryce to me. Maybe it is because she is sleeping. Uncle Andy and Baby Claire Claire has the cutest nose and the tiniest ears. I think the part of her that reminds me of Bryce is her chin and mouth. It was so funny, he had the hardest time deciding between a lady bug or a duck. He was really undecided and you could see some frustration on his face and finally I told him that Claire would love either. So earlier that day I was talking to Drew about how now he is a big cousin now and that all his other cousins are older than him. So when were visiting I asked Drew in front of everyone what does baby Claire make you? Searching for - big cousin, but of course he gave a much better answer, "happy." What a good big cousin.

Drew asked Aunt Tammy if baby Claire grew out of her tummy and she said yes. No other questions were about how she got out. I think we lucked out, he usually asked a million whys.
