Ratatouille Birthday at the Flip Shop

Sunday was Madeline Wilson's 3rd birthday party at the Flip Shop in Joplin. The Flip shop is a tumbling place with trampolines and mats and tons of room to just burn off some toddler energy. Drew was a little more timid than I expected. For a kid that loves to jump and pretend he is a joey, frog, bunny, jumping bean - he didn't like the trampoline. I don't know if Andy explained it to him or not before he stepped on to the unstable ground of the trampoline at floor level, but he wouldn't jump. He like running up and down the little tumbling run. There was a soft pit at the end of the run way, I only saw him jump once, every other time he just slide down. Maybe he is not quite the daredevil I thought he was. Below if a picture of birthday girl Madeline and Drew running past each other. It is hard to get pictures of kids that are all over the place.
The only reason Drew would get on this trampoline is because he loved going down the slide.

Jilli bean enjoyed herself. There were plenty of cushions for her to pull up to. I think I should have put a bow in her hair, because in her red shirt and cherry jeans, 3 people called her a boy.

It was a Ratatouille party and the cupcakes were a crack up - there was a little rat on top.

Birthday girl and her cake.

We just put the cupcake in front of Drew and let him at it. He ate all the icing around the rat with his finger and then picked up the whole rat. It immediately turned into a handful of grey mush. He tossed the rat tail aside and starting eating the pile of rat from his hand. After some cleaning up, he ate the cake part. Yum Yum. Dad said they were yummy too.

Drew wanted to keep playing and surprisingly he didn't throw a fit when we left, maybe he was too tired. We were going to go to the Wilson's after the party, but Jillian was so tired and both kids were on the verge of meltdown from exhaustion. So we headed home. The trip was well worth it. We all had a good time, but I think Drew had the most. Drew is wearing his chef's hat upside down on the way home.

It looks like we put one of the cones on Drew that you put on dogs to keep them for pulling on stitches or messing with their ears. He even looks tired in these last two pictures.
