Saturday Cycling (Tri, that is)

Saturday was supposed to be a day to catch up on my list of random things, most importantly get our taxes done and play outside - it was sunny and warm for once. Friday we busted our butts to get cleaning and grocery shopping done, so we would have all day Saturday. Of course thing never go as planned. We are running our quick errands in the morning and my cell phone rings. "Withheld, what does that mean?" Before I wait for my husband to answer my question I answer the phone. It is one of my bosses from work, "could I take call today, the call person is sick." Long pause. My mind is racing, could I - Yes, do I want to - absolutely not. Of course sucker Shannon says yes. The day is ruined. I sometimes feel it is impossible for me to say no, so if any one needs a kidney or to borrow money I don't have, or their litter box changed, I am sure that I will do it, just ask. I left the house at 1230 and didn't get home until 800. Nothing is done and I missed the outside time. So here are pictures of Drew riding his tricycle. What a big boy.

Last week Nana took Drew out to play with his bike in the garage and he made 3 cycles with the peddles. Every time he gets on it he tells me "there is a bell on my bike." Then he rings it and say "here I come." I told him that when he rang his bell it told everyone, watch out little boy on a bike, here I come.
Drew, Jillian and Andy watched the Chipmunks movie and Andy said that Drew thought it was really funny. I talked to him about it on the phone and he jabbers something and all I get is Alvin. Why is Alvin everyone's favorite? I always like Theodore and felt sorry for Simon. So Andy kept the kids up so I could see them before they went to bed. After a day like Saturday there is only one thing that would make me smile and remind me of why we do all this. It worked instantly. I asked Drew what he watched today, fishing for Chipmunks movie, but his reply instead was "basketball game." Drew outed his dad. :) No time for dishes, yeah right.
