By the looks of things, Santa must have thought my children were very good this year.
They checked out the kitchen first.
They checked out the kitchen first.
I knew they would both love it.
It even has a laundry area with a ironing board and "I-ron" as Drew would say.
So while checking out the kitchen Jilli went and snagged one of Santa's left over cookies. I just knew she was eyeing it last night. Drew opened his first gift and it was books about the alphabet, numbers and opposites.
Santa brought Drew Candy Land and we played it that night after sister went to bed. It was our first time playing a board game with little man. He had fun even if daddy did win. Both kids got slippers. Jilli frogs and Drew dinosaurs.
Roar!
Before Christmas Drew would take his night night blanket and pretend it was his superhero cape, now he has the real thing. Sometimes he is Mr. Yucky and he slimes me, but that day I asked him his name and he said Super Snack - he must have been hungry.
Buzz Buzz - Jilli got a learning bee.
Santa came through - the one and only thing Drew has said that he wanted for Christmas, the guitar with fire (it has flames on it). Drew is a not only a super hero, but also a rock star. He would play his guitar and he wanted me to sing. We plan on going on tour in summer 2010. Write it down in your calendars. Jilli can be our back up dancer.
Jillian liked the gift bags the best because she could easily plow through the tissue paper to get to her present.
More Buzz
Time for stockings.
This picture is just to show the magnitude of the Christmas mess and we weren't even done opening our gifts.
Jilli Bean got lots of bracelets and loved them, sometimes she prefers to wear them as anklets.
Jilli and her first pillow. I know it seem like kind of a strange Christmas present, but this girl loves to put her head on our pillows and say "night night."
A keyboard and mouse just for Drew and eventually Jillian too. Uncle Brett passed down a computer to us that I think we will set up downstairs for the kids. The keyboard has extra big and color coordinated buttons to make it easier for little ones.
It was such a wonderful Christmas. The kids woke up around 6:45 and we spent almost 4 hours opening presents (better than last year, it took 5 days). We would open a couple and play with them and then open some more. We had lunch and we all took a nap and then played some more until bed. I couldn't ask for a better day.
