Today Drew went for his 3 year check up. He weighed 34.4 lbs (80th percentile) and is 38 inches tall (60th percentile). At his 2 year check up, he was only 33.5 inches (23rd percentile). I could tell he had growth spurt right after he turned 2.
Drew got his healthy shot and took it like a champ. I told him it was going to hurt and he just said ouch and gave the nurse a dirty look and then he was over it. No more shots until kindergarten :)
Some reassuring things the pediatrician told me were that the average age that boys are potty trained is 3 years 7 months and he was quick to point out that meant half were older than that. Thank goodness, I was beginning to wonder if there was something wrong with the kid's bladder. He gave some tips on how to encourage him, so we will just keep at it.
I have one healthy boy, for that I am very thankful.
