Jillian had her 15 month well baby check up on Saturday. Drew was going to get a flu shot while we were there. So I started telling him about it Friday night. I told him he was getting a shot and that it would hurt for a little bit, but it was going to make him healthy. We talk about what makes us healthy. I tell him I go to the YMCA or exercise to be healthy and sometimes it works to get him to eat his veggies. Last year when he got his flu shot he just said ouch and that was it, I was hoping for a similar reaction this year.
At the doctors office they offered a nasal inhalant instead of the shot and the added plus is that it lasted longer. So no shot for Drew. As we were leaving the pediatrician's office he said in a very annoyed voice "hey, I want my healthy shot!" Not many kids want their shots, but apparently Drew did.
