Who Says Pirates Have Bad Teeth?

I have said it before, but I will say it again "This Boy is Amazing!!!" Drew went for his first check up at the dentist office. Earlier that day he came across his eye patch and from then on, he was a pirate that day, including the dentist visit. On the way to the appointment I tried to talk it up, because it could have honestly gone either way - perfect boy or complete meltdown. I told him how much pirates like the dentist and how much dentist like pirates. When we walked in the office Drew gave them an emphatic "AAARRR!" with arm motions. The ladies at the desk were amused and a few dental hygienist came to see the little pirate. When Dr. Jill, our dentist, came in he gave her an AARRR too and she played along and looked for treasure in his mouth. She asked Drew if he was Captain Feathersword (from the Wiggles) and he said "No, I just Drew." Drew let her poke around on his teeth with the metal instruments and followed all her directions. His teeth are great, no cavities and good spacing, just a slight overbite. Drew had fun sliding down the chair like a slide and watching Curious George. The next visit in January will include teeth cleaning, so I will keep my fingers crossed.
