Owen's Birthday Party

Drew has been excited about this day for weeks. He has been carrying around the invitation to Owen's party at Cabela's like it gold. Finally the Saturday morning is here.

I just need to say that I had a bow in her hair and it was lost before we even got to Cabela's

All the kids and adults enjoyed their breakfast and we headed to the shooting gallery. Toy guns that you shoot at target with. There was even a spitting cobra. A big hit with the boys.

I was on Jillian patrol, while Andy and Drew were practicing shooting. She was exploring the tents near by.

Notice that Owen and Drew are almost always side by side. Best buddies for sure.

I am sure that both grandpas enjoy this picture of their grandson shooting just a tad bit more than I do.

After the shooting gallery, we headed down to check out the animals. They have a huge fish tank that has tons of fish. Can I just say that fish gross me out. They are ugly, slimy and smell. There were some extra disgusting ones in the tank. Huge, really huge catfish and an albino one too. Ugh. The kids like it, so that is all that maters.

Jillian's was the first balloon casualty. She was running (of course) around the store, her balloon on her wrist when she fell and her balloon hit a display and a gave everyone a scare. No one wants to hear a loud popping noise in a store like Cabela's. Watch the disgusting fish do a twirl for the kids.

We went to the mule deer exhibit and when we walked in Drew said "mom, remember when you hit a deer with your car." Yes honey, hard to forget. Jillian was scooting around floor on her back (why, I don't know) and some guy complimented her on her back stroke.

Back to the party room to open presents and Drew decided to have another donut.

So much fun and we were done at 11:30. I have never been to a morning party, but it was really nice because then we had the rest of the day.
