Sandboxing

While I was working this weekend, Drew, Jillian and Andy had a major project. Finally our sandbox. It has a long history. When we lived in Carl Junction pre-bean era, we had a swing set fund and we would save every week. I decided to ask my dad to build Drew a simple square sand box for Drew and this is how we got our swing set. Dad saw this swing set that had a sandbox included and thought Drew needed it (and he did). We didn't put up our swing set until we moved and then last year Jillian would have been impossible in a sandbox. So finally we have our sandbox and the kids love it.

Sandbox recipe: Remove grass, add one plastic liner....
add 500 lbs of sand (no that is not a typo - we could actually use a little more)

add some little ones and shovels on top and enjoy.
I love that Jillian only has one shoe on.
I think they likey.
We played in it again tonight while Andy was grilling. The sand was more than damp from all the rain, but that made it better for building things. It was pretty messy, but super fun.
Good job guys - a definite success.
