Punching Bag and Jumping Bean

So they kids love the card they gave their daddy for father's day. Here is some of Jillian's dancing abruptly ended by a duck to the ankle.

Proof, this girl looks nothing like me. Lucky her.

Jillian's newest accomplishment is jumping. It is so super cute. When we are out she always wants to jump on lines or things on the ground. When we were at legends last week they have circle plaques that commemorate famous Kansans and she had to jump on all of them. There was also drains with grates on top and Drew looked down one and asked what those people were doing down there. Those people was our reflection in the water. he he he!

Drew being a stinker. My kids are way crabbier in the evenings since day care has started I guess they are just worn out.

So last Friday I went to a kick boxing class with my neighbor at the Y. I looked like I was about to stroke out after it was over and I was sore for the next four days, but the worst part was the smell of the gloves. Obviously I didn't have my own because it was my first time, so I had to use a community pair and it was the most repulsive smell, and I am exposed to many a stinky thing. So Andy told me he had some gloves I could use this Friday. So this is how this whole kids "boxing" thing transpired. The kids tried on my new gloves and Andy had them punching his hands.

They were having so much fun, he went down and got a long stored toy out of the "hiding closet" down stairs. My since fired co-worker got Drew a punching bag and gloves for his 2nd birthday and I have been hiding it for almost a year and a half. Drew didn't love the big gloves, but Jillian did, so he used mine.Watch out little boys that are picking on my boy, he is about to kick your a**! Just kidding, there was plenty of reinforcement about not hitting people. Look up sis and keep your hands up! Luckily there was no accidents with the punching bag - I could just see sis getting hit by the bag after Drew hit it. Fortunately that didn't happen.
If you can't tell, Drew really likes this punching bag. He keeps asking where it is and it has now become a toy we play with when he has a good day. A good day includes following directions, no yelling, no throwing fits and not getting angry when things don't go your way. We will see how often he really gets to play with it. I will never film vertical again. The picture automatically turn so I just assumed that the video would. Oh well, hope you don't get a crick in your neck.

When Jillian heard herself giggle on the video, she did the same ornery laugh again.

Jillian conditioning for some bare knuckle boxing.

Jillian finding some alternative uses for her boxing gloves.
Not so easy to walk in.
What is going on in this household? Shooting guns and now boxing. No one can say that I am not an opened minded mom, because obviously neither of these activities are high on my list of ideals.
