Monday and Wednesday Drew had his first t-ball practices. Jillian was excited about his hat and shirt. This is 3 and 4 year old playing, so you can only imagine how it went.
As you can tell, his hat and shirt were a little big.
There are only 5 little boys on the team and here is our coach of the day getting ready to run the bases with the boys. At the beginning of practice she said she needed a parent volunteer to be the coach and at the time Andy was the only guy there and everyone looked at him. Not that a girl could be our coach, but all the women there were holding little ones around Jilli's age. So we all had our hands full, but I do need to mention that all the little one's set on their mom's laps and watched the practice - except for JILIIAN!
Running the bases. The would yell out the name of the base when they would touch it. Yes, the basics, they have to learn the names of the bases.
So Wednesday Andy did the coaching along with another guy and he did great. So cute and funny with the little guys. It is just funny that Andy is coaching because he never played baseball as a kid. He has played on a summer softball league once. He did great though.
Yes that is Jillian in the mix of all the t-ball boys.
She must think that they need a sixth.
Everyone touching home base. These are pictures from the first practice which Drew did pretty good at. Until he got mad when Mason got the ball when he was supposed to and then that made him angry. Wednesday's practice was a complete disaster. He probably practiced about 10 minutes total and then wanted to be by me the rest of the time. I was running around trying to keep the wild woman off of the field this time, so this meant Drew was off the field too. It is worthless the force them to practice, that just makes the melt downs worse. So he just ran around with us.
