Splash Cove

So Tuesday was Drew and my morning to spend together. Of course things never go as planned. I had to stay late at work, because my lovely co-worker can't seem to get to work on time.....ever! So I have to take the Jilli to school, but it was past breakfast time at school so we headed to McDonalds for a nice healthy breakfast.
Drew was super excited when I told him that we were going inside. He asked every time we go and the usual answer is " not today buddy."
We have only been inside to the playland 2 times before. Once with Andy and then one weekday around 11:30 I took the kids by myself and it was a complete mad house. I was a nervous wreck because Jillian was getting run over by all the big kids. Last time she took her pants off in the playland too. It got a good chuckle out of some of the moms.
Monkey swinging on the bar.
We dropped sis off at school and Drew and I were headed to the pool.Cool Dude.
He really impressed me. He drank a huge glass of OJ and by the time we got to the pool he really had to go. I kept telling him to hold it and he did all the way across the parking lot, waiting while I paid and finally into the changing room. I just knew he was going to have an accident. Lately he has also been wearing his underwear to bed instead of a pull up and hasn't had any accidents yet. That is one amazing 3 year old.
Drew was a little cautious. Went up the stairs once and then a bucket dumped on him and he was crying and wanted down. After that we just played around the perimeter and he had fun.
Drew liked the little fountains.
The whole apparatus. The big snail shell at the top would fill with water, then a warning bell would go off and then it dumps. Scared him at first, then he liked it. Never went under it, but liked watching other kids get soaked.
Good thing I brought some water balls and his watering can. Otherwise we would have just walked around.
Isn't my little man the cutest.
Here is a picture of the snail dumping and Drew little friend that played with him. Drew was super sweet with this little guy and shared his toys.
Towards the end he got braver and braver, but still didn't want to go down the slide before we left. Maybe next time. We have to conquer this kid's fear of water.
